What is men’s work?
Men’s work is the inner work that men need to do around their identity as a man. Men in our society are raised with cultural, societal, and familial expectations and messages such as…
Men don’t cry
Men have to be the provider
Men don’t show emotion
Men need to be in control
Men have to be in traditional relationships
These messages (and more) are based in patriarchal values that ultimately isolate men and keep them in a place of disempowerment. While men seem to have a lot of privilege, in a patriarchal society that privilege comes with a high price, including loneliness, stress, disconnection and overwhelming pressure to have your act together and not show that you are human or that you have wants and needs.
The rise of feminism has liberated women and challenged men. Feminism has brought a healthy awareness to where men are disempowered by patriarchy, but a lot of men don’t know what to do with that awareness.
Men are being presented with different solutions. One solution is to double down on the patriarchal values and become an alpha male, but this isn’t helping any man. It just puts more pressure on the man and isolates him further.
The other solution is to do men’s work, where a man frees himself of the false narrative of patriarchal values by collaborating with other men who know the experiences that man is going through. When men collaborate in brotherhood we are stronger together than when we are apart.
Men’s work also welcomes men of all kinds from cis heterosexual men to queer men to transmen. All of us, regardless of our sexual orientation are men and all of us need to do the men’s work.
Why should I do this work?
If you’re feeling alone, then this work is for you.
If you’re feeling a ton of pressure in your life and you don’t know what to do, then this work is for you.
If you feel like you have to live a life where you can’t show emotion, where you have to be the strong person and can never be authentic and real, then this work is for you.
If you want a better life for yourself, a life where you feel connected, valued, and appreciated, then this work is for you.
Doing the men’s work frees you from a life of isolation and overwhelming pressure. It allows you to open your heart to other people and get the support you need.
Men are at a crisis point right now.
If you feel emasculated, unwanted, and like you are bending over backwards to please everyone else, you’re not alone. There are lots of other men feeling that way, but you don’t have to continue to settle for a life where you feel locked down, miserable and unhappy.
I work with men who are feeling lost, working at jobs they don’t like, settling for a small and mediocre life, where they feel alone and disconnected from their partners and from the communities around them.
I work with nice guys and people pleasers who let everyone walk all over them and put their own needs and desires on hold, sacrificing their life and happiness in the process, because they think that the key to their happiness is putting someone else first, instead of choosing themselves.
I work with men who are confused about the purpose of their lives and are asking the hard questions, but going to all the wrong places to find the answers. They are going to pickup artists to learn how to get sex fast, but not developing the relationships they wants. They look toward the divine feminine to solve their problems, because they are ashamed of their masculinity. They become workaholics or get wrapped up in vices, burying themselves in whatever will help them avoid themselves, but everything they do leaves them feeling emptier and more exhausted.
You aren’t going to find your answers in the arms of another person, or in a new job or business or in porn, alcohol or other vices.
Men’s work is where you’ll find your answers and that work is only effective if you’re doing it with other men. With men’s work you get to strip away the societal identity of masculinity, and discover your own masculine identity, one which is developed on your terms and is authentic to who you truly are.
I can help you do the deep work you need to do and embark on the initiatory journey to discover your divine kingship by being the guide that provides some light on your journey and helps you see where you need to do the work.
I will help you go on the journey to sacred masculinity, a journey where you will manifest the following:
The self confidence and love you need to embody in yourself in order to become the divine king you are meant to be.
The intimate and sacred relationship you’ve always wanted to have with your partner.
A purpose and meaning filled life.
The discovery of your sacred masculine power through rites of passages and the male mysteries.
A brotherhood of other men who are on the same journey and will support and motivate you.
If you’re ready to do men’s work, tired of continuing to live a nice guy life, and not getting the results you want, schedule a transformation session with me, and let’s start transforming your life.
